On the auspicious occasion of Nityananda Trayodashi, we would like to announce the launch of ISKCON-London's 50th Anniversary year.

Srila Prabhupada was a pioneer of the sankirtan movement in the western world. Nothing was impossible for him and he instilled this idea in the hearts of his disciples. Plans are underway to celebrate this milestone year in this pioneering spirit.

Here is a look into what’s coming up in 2019:

Come rain or snow thousands of Londoners in need are getting a nutritious meal throughout the year thanks to Hare Food For Life London initiative – which has been feeding the homeless for over 25 years.

It is run solely by the help of volunteers and a humble handy van. However, with the van coming to the end of its life, the meals on wheels are sadly at risk. We need your help to continue driving this mission to help the needy.

£15,000 in donations is needed for a new van for Hare Krishna Food For Life London and your support can make this happen.

Donate via our Facebook page or JustGiving or at the Temple shop by visiting in person or calling on +44 (0)207 437 3662.

Every contribution, no matter how large or small, will make a difference.

Lord Nityananda's birth in this world is called Nityananda Trayodasi and takes place in spring. Lord Nityananda, the brother of Lord Chaitanya, always accompanies the Lord in all of His incarnations: as Lord Balarama - the beloved brother of Lord Krishna, and as Lakshmana - the younger brother of Lord Rama. Lord Nityananda is known for His compassion on even the most fallen of living entities and is known as the original spiritual guide for all seeking souls. Devotees fast till noon on this day, followed by a feast in His honour.

Devotees attending will also be able to discover relevant means of practically applying these instructions in their own life, with abundant facility to fine-tune their attitudes according to the guidance of Lord Caitanya, Srila Prabhupada and our previous acharyas.
