COVID-19 Updates

We are open on Sundays for darshan from 4.00pm to 6.00 pm.
To establish a robust system to enable you to have darshan in a safe environment, we’ve completed a thorough risk assessment and consulted with our Health & Safety external auditors. In line with this expertise and government guidance, we’re pleased to open the temple for darshan of Their Most Beautiful Lordships, Sri Sri Radha-Londonisvara, Sri Sri Jagannatha, Baladeva and Subhadra Devi, Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai and Sri Giri-Govardhana as well as His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada on Sundays.

Please note that at present, the temple will only be open for Darshan. Govinda’s Restaurant and Radha's Boutique will remain closed till further notice. Other areas of the building will also not be accessible. As the threat of the virus subsides and when we receive further Government advice, we’ll be opening more temple facilities.

We will only allow families of four at one time - families larger than this will be subdivided. We also strongly encourage anyone with underlying health issues or over 70 years of age to not attend at this time for your own personal wellbeing.

There is no booking system so just show up and there will be a rolling darshan system in place. The speed of the queue will depend on numbers so your wait should not be more that 15-20 minutes. Before coming to the temple, you must complete the COVID-19 checklist below.

RADHASTAMI DARSHAN TIMINGS

Darshan will be open from 4.15 pm – 7.30 pm.

If you plan to come for darshan between 4.15 pm and 7.00 pm you are not required to make a booking. Just show up and join the queue.

If you plan to come for darshan between 7.00 pm and 7.30 pm you are required to book online. We will be serving a delicious takeaway feast after 7.05 pm. This will allow us to serve you nicely and will also save time in the queue on the day.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON ARRIVAL

In line with our risk assessment and COVID-19 plan, you and your family will need to:

  1. Have your individual temperatures checked with a simple non-touch reader. If anyone in your party exceeds the normal temperature of greater than 37.8 degrees Celsius, your party WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ACCESS.
  2. For everyone’s safety, please strictly follow the instructions of the darshan queue team at all times. On arrival, please join the queue where you will be asked to sanitise your hands. We recommend that everyone wears a face mask throughout their visit.
  3. Volunteers will guide you through the darshan queue. We ask that you please:
    1. Maintain social distancing i.e. a two-metre distance – our signs will help you maintain the distance (families can stand together in a group of four only).
    2. Do not speak to others who have come to take darshan.
    3. Wear socks – we will not allow bare feet in the temple room.
    4. In line with Government guidance, do not sing.
    5. Do not pay your dandavats/obeisances to Their Lordships; rather, fold your hands in respect to Them.
    6. Avoid touching any surfaces.
    7. Avoid touching any items not belonging to you and carry your belongings with you at all times.
  4. During darshan, you will be given opportunity to make cashless donations. Please do not bring bhoga offerings.
  5. On your exit, you’ll be offered prasadam to take away with you.
  6. There will be no access to toilets, Govinda’s Restaurant, Radha's Boutique and other facilities.
  7. Finally, please stay within the barrier system and do not attempt to visit other parts of the temple or speak to the residents.

VISITOR RECORDS FOR NHS TEST & TRACE PURPOSES

The government has launched an NHS Test and Trace service to manage the risk of the virus re-emerging. We will be keeping an accurate temporary record of visitors to assist NHS Test and Trace with requests for that data if needed for contact tracing and the investigation of local outbreaks.

We will collect the names and contact details of people visiting in line with the guidance on collecting visitor details for Test and Trace provided by the Information Commissioner’s Office. You will be asked for your consent. This is because of the potentially sensitive nature of the data collected in these circumstances, which is protected by law. Giving your contact details is optional and is not a condition of visiting.

We look forward to welcoming you within these safety measures.
