Sri Siksastakam Prayers - The Sacred Necklace

Sunday, 24 March 2019

Understand, relish and apply the eight instructions of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

This seminar aims to deepen one’s understanding and appreciation of the most profound and esoteric piece of divine poetry that ever existed - Sri Siksastakam. Devotees attending will also be able to discover relevant means of practically applying these instructions in their own life, with abundant facility to fine-tune their attitudes according to the guidance of Lord Caitanya, Srila Prabhupada and our previous acharyas.

Lord Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu appeared 500 years ago in Navadvip, West-Bengal and is considered the most recent incarnation of the Supreme Personality of Godhead Sri Krishna.
Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (1486-1535) started His worldwide Sankirtan mission of propagating the chanting of the holy name of the Lord (the process of self-realization for this age – to meditate upon the sound of the maha-mantra: Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare). Although Lord Caitanya was widely renowned as a scholar in His youth, He left only eight verses, called Śikṣāṣṭaka. These eight verses clearly reveal His mission and precepts. Sikṣā means instruction, and āṣṭaka means eight. So in eight stanzas He has finished his instruction, and His next disciples, the six Gosvāmīs, have explained them in volumes of books.

"Simply by chanting the holy name of Lord Krishna, one can be freed from all undesirable habits. This is the means of awakening all good fortune and initiating the flow of waves of love for Krishna." - (Caitanya Caritamrita, Antya, 20.11)

In this seminar, HG Nama Sankirtana dasa will facilitate clear access to Lord Caitanya's eight-verse roadmap that will lead devotees toward love for Krishna, the ultimate perfection of life. Come join us and make a deeper connection with Krishna and His Holy Names!
