Due to a rise in petty thefts in the soho area we have started using volunteer security staff to look after the temple areas and restuarant ,just in the last six months of introducing security staff to the temple our crime rate has dropped very significantly.The security not only prevent bag thefts and coat thefts from the temple and restuarant,but they help to keep troublemakers and drunks out ,they also act as ushers to inform and guide visitors to the temple ,to places in the temple that they wish to see....if you have some time and interest in doing some security for the temple please contact the volunteers co-ordinator-kasinatha das : 07944171040 |

Food for life goes out to feed the homeless four times a week ,monday -thursday ,volunteers help to prepare and cook ,as well as serve from the van ,its a very engaging and rewarding service ,there is a very strong sense of team work with the food for life team if you would like to get involved please contact the volunteers co-ordinator kasinatha das 07944171040 |

Sunday feast volunteering will mainly involve helping in preparing the sunday feast such as preparing vegetables, cooking , serving and cleaning,Serving the feast in the temple room and restaurant ,washing the pots,cleaning the kitchen and restaurant after the feast The sunday feasts service teams are a great way to make friends and discover your Krishna consciousness in a fun and spiritually rewarding way,please come and get involved...! Assisting the pujaris involves general cleaning, food preperation, garland making and cleaning the diety worship parphenalia. Volunteers in this department are required to be following the four regulative principles and chanting hare krishna . |

We have regular visits from senior sanyasis and a Volunteer is needed to collect /deliver devotees to and from the airport or other temples.drivers are expected to be responsible and to have clean drivers license,other driving services include ,driving the pujaris to the vegetable and flower markets in the mornings ,picking up bhoga from food warehouse once a week .book runs picking up books for the sankirtana department,rubbish runs taking rubbish to the dumps,driving devotees and guest to the airport and driving the food for life van for prasadam distrubution for the homeless....if you are interested in any of these services please feel free to contact me ...volunteers co-ordinator kasinatha das 07944171040 |
