Devotees had worked all week (with little sleep) to decorate the altar,Temple room, seminar room and to create a full day (4.30am to 10.30pm) of activities. outfit which had been made the night before. We had a maha harinama on Oxford Street and were enlivened by classes by Ranchor Prabhu and Brhat Mrdanga Prabhu. As is tradition the 9pm arati was extra special with the darshan of the lotus feet of Srimati Radharani. The final arati kirtan was led by Radha Londonisvara dasa and The Deities were offered a flower ended at 10.30pm. The coach was completed packed on the day. In Manchester we were all enlivened by HH Maha Vishnu Swami’s kirtans. This was the first Ratha Yatra to be held in Manchester. Iskcon-London Monthly Report - Page 5 September 2008 new s MEDIATION TRAINING On the 9th September, Bhakta Ved (a qualified Mediator) started the first of a series of mediation training sessions with the Temple Leaders Council. ISKCON EDUCATIONAL SERVICES On the 25th, Taruna Krishna dasa gave a presentation to 25 secondary school students from Denmark. They took 9 Bhagavad-Gita’s before they left. This is their 3rd visit in 3 years. On the 26th, Krsna Pranadhika devi dasi gave a presentation to 23 Notre Dame University students and their professor. They took 17 Bhagavad-Gita’s before they left. SRILA PRABHUPADA DECEMBER MARATHON The Srila Prabhupada Marathon takes place on the 1st to 24th December. You can get involved in a myriad of ways from street distribution, door to door, book tables, at work, amongst family/friends – it’s so easy! for further information. BHAKTI SASTRI COURSE On 17th September, we launched a Bhakti Sastri course which will be taught once a week until November 2009. The teacher is Jivadoya dasa from Bhaktivedanta Manor. We have 25 students in attendance at present. Students are taught every Wednesday from 6.00pm to 9.00pm and are given prasadam before the class starts.
